Pricing Parisian Options Using Laplace Transforms
In this work, we propose to price Parisian options using Laplace transforms. Not only do we compute the Laplace transforms of all the different Parisian options, but we also explain how to invert them numerically. We prove the accuracy of the numerical inversion.
متن کاملPricing Discretely Sampled Path-dependent Exotic Options Using Replication Methods
A semi-static replication method is introduced for pricing discretely sampled path-dependent options. It depends upon buying and selling options at the reset times of the option but does not involve trading at intervening times. The method is model independent in that it only depends upon the existence of a pricing function for vanilla call options which depends purely on current time, time to ...
متن کاملThe Path Integral Approach to Financial Modeling and Options Pricing
Abstract. In this paper we review some applications of the path integral methodology of quantum mechanics to financial modeling and options pricing. A path integral is defined as a limit of the sequence of finite-dimensional integrals, in a much the same way as the Riemannian integral is defined as a limit of the sequence of finite sums. The risk-neutral valuation formula for path-dependent opt...
متن کاملPath Dependent Option Pricing: the path integral partial averaging method
In this paper I develop a new computational method for pricing path dependent options. Using the path integral representation of the option price, I show that in general it is possible to perform analytically a partial averaging over the underlying risk-neutral diffusion process. This result greatly eases the computational burden placed on the subsequent numerical evaluation. For short-medium t...
متن کاملPricing double barrier Parisian options using Laplace transforms
In this article, we study a double barrier version of the standard Parisian options. We give closed formulas for the Laplace transforms of their prices with respect to the maturity time. We explain how to invert them numerically and prove a result on the accuracy of the numerical inversion when the function to be recovered is sufficiently smooth. Henceforth, we study the regularity of the Paris...
